Our Name
Salamis Solutions' name comes from the Battle of Salamis during the Greco-Persian War, a battle many historians have ranked as one of the most decisive military engagements of all time.
In 480 B.C., the Greek city-states were under attack from the Persians after the Persian army won the battle of Thermopylae; simultaneously, a superior Persian naval force was poised to attack from the sea. The Greek city-states, outnumbered and outmatched on the land and at sea, would have to work together, coalesce on a strategic plan, execute tactically, and have a dedicated focus on the mission if they were to have any chance at success... All lessons that the acquisition world could learn from.
